GameLicense hosting
A key station is a small server that stores a game studio's keys and hands exactly one key to each verified buyer at redemption. GameLicense hosting runs one for you: your studio gets its own station at <name>.gamelicense.org, ready to use, and it works with studios selling through FlipKey.gg.
What you get
- Your own station. Every studio has its own station, its own database, and its own upload login. Studios are isolated from each other.
- Full access. No key-count limits — upload and manage as many keys as you sell.
- Your keys stay yours. You can export your keys at any time with the Export button on the upload page.
- Room to grow. Publishers who want more isolation can move to a more secure install: a dedicated droplet of their own, or a deployment on their own infrastructure. Email support@gamelicense.org to talk options.
What it doesn't do
Hosted stations support basic key redemptions only: the station stores your keys and hands one to each verified buyer. Listing types that don't deliver a stored key will not function on a hosted station — free claim drops (freebies) and items that unlock in-game content without a key are not supported. If your catalog needs those, email support@gamelicense.org about a dedicated install.
Price
$20 / year · founding price · paid upfront
That works out to $1.67 a month for your own key server — billed once a year, no surprises. The regular price is $40 per year. Your station renews yearly at the price you signed up at — founders keep $20/year for as long as they stay subscribed.
How to start
Start from the Key Station page in your FlipKey.gg publisher dashboard — it takes you to Stripe checkout with your studio already linked, so your station can be set up without any back-and-forth. Questions first — or prefer to be onboarded by hand? Email support@gamelicense.org.
